  17. <p>     For years, former Drexel Burnham chief Frederick Joseph has
  18. spent his weekends forging metal at his country home in New
  19. Jersey. Now he's likely to have even more time to perfect his
  20. craft. Last week the New York Stock Exchange suspended Joseph
  21. for two years for his allegedly lax stewardship of the bankrupt
  22. firm, where he oversaw junk-bond king Michael Milken. The Big
  23. Board's rebuke prohibits Joseph from acting as a manager or
  24. supervisor at its member firms and bars him from owning a
  25. controlling interest in those companies. The penalty won't force
  26. Joseph to earn his living by the forge. He'll be allowed to
  27. consult Drexel in its litigation against Milken and others.
  28. Joseph's salary: $350,000.
